Business Continuity Planning
Business Continuity Planning is a methodology used to create a plan for how an organization will resume partially or completely interrupted critical function(s) within a predetermined time after a disruption.
BCP is usually addressed separately from disaster recovery since it covers smaller, more frequent yet less catastrophic events. These include events such as short power outages, surges or dips, single component failures in key servers or desktops, etc.
