Commercial Audits
Equitas provides audit services that help businesses assess the current state of key information resources, and provides a professional, unbiased assessment. Management can be assured that they are not at risk of losing information or capabilities and that they are getting the maximum utilization from their available resources.
Specific services address differing levels of concern:
Basic backup - Ensuring the selected data is making it to the backup media, reviewing the backup strategy, ensuring the correct data is being backed up, and the time frame for retention meets business needs, auditing off site location, checking backup logs and procedures including media handling and storage
Business continuity - Analyzing all system components to make sure appropriate risks have been mitigated such as single hard drive failure via mirrored drives and short term power failures
Disaster recovery - Analyzing plans that specify what will happen in high impact events (e.g. fire, flood, and storms)
Basic security -Virus, theft, spyware, spam protection, firewall, and unintentional errors
Advanced security - Set up virtual private networks (VPNs), account authentication, resource authorization and protection, provide internal security assessments (applications, infrastructure, including wireless), connect to external applications, such as portals, web sites, fi le transfer protocol (FTP) sites
System performance - Resource utilization, response times, and capacity
